Rylan with the ladies (Ashley and Melody)

Merry Merry

It is hard to believe that it is already Rylan's first Christmas. Last Christmas I remember wrapping gifts and listening to holiday music, while rubbing my tummy and anxiously awaiting his arrival. I could not wait to share this time of year with him. I even wrapped up gifts last year from Rylan to Daddy..talk about excited.

Now here we are...6 months old, almost 16lbs, and about 27 inches (a big difference from the 8lbs and 20 ans a half inches he was born with).

He is still battling his reflux (has been since he was 2 weeks old). He pukes more then a bunch of frat boys on a Saturday night. Poor little guy. Luckily we found great meds and he feels no pain. In desperation to end this...he is now going to a baby chiropractor and we are hoping for a miracle.

He started solids two months ago and like his mom, HATES his veggies and LOVES his fruits. Although he still pukes these up, he IS sleeping the entire night.

Two days ago there was his first tooth siting...a corner is out. He is chewing on everything like a little puppy. (we'll try to keep his away from the shoes. LOL) He is also rolling over like a pro, on his way to sitting up on his own, and even attempts to lift his body and try to sit up on his own.

He currently has a regular crew of friends that he "hangs with". HE even has a long legged girlfriend (Melody) that is an entire month older then him. Although when Mel wasn't around the other day ...we did catch him holding Ashley's hand who is 2 weeks older then him.Hmmmmm I might have a ladies man on my hands. Already a sly dog trying to date friends.
In January he is going to start music class with is girlfriend. He is going to love this..since he LOVES to be sung too.

As for Christmas plans, we will be here for Christmas Eve spending it with the Dos Santos clan, and then heading to Rhode Island Christmas Day for the Farrell's. We plan to spend a week trying to see friends and spend time with family---especially with his cousin Ava who is about to turn age 2.

As for us parents--Pete is still trecking it all the way to Hartford everyday. And I am still on maternity leave...hoping to keep it that way for awhile...or forever - We shall see. I do miss teaching a ton and would be back in the Bronx in a heartbeat...if only I could have Rylan with me(get back in my belly). Besides work...as most of you know...I turned the big 3-0 earlier this month. My lovely hubby surprised me with a little party in RI with some of my bestest friends. Pete turns 36 Feb.2 (yep he is a ground hog). We are also off to Vegas this April (without baby), Bermuda in May (with baby), and Portugal in Sept. (with baby)...so we will have all of those great stories to share with you all then.

Wishing all of you a Happy 2007.

Just when you thought that 131 pictures in one month was enough....wallah...we have a BLOG!
Thanks to our good friend Christina, we thought it would be an easy way for everyone to see what is up with Rylan and our family! It is hard to stay connected as often as we'd like with all the people we love spread out all over..and this is just an easier way! Make sure to check us out often and I will try to keep it updated!
